Horrendous Experience – “We Rent” Is a Complete Disaster I rarely leave bad reviews, but what happened at Aurora Mountain Chalet by We Rent (SUMMERCARD INCLUDED) in Kaprun was beyond unacceptable. This was honestly one of the worst booking experiences I’ve ever had. Let’s start with the company managing the place – “We Rent”. They are an absolute disgrace to both the homeowner and any future guests. We arrived at 1 AM, tired and looking forward to settling in, only to find ourselves locked out with no way to access the chalet. I had been in touch with their representative just two hours earlier, but suddenly – complete silence. No access code. No support. Nothing. When I finally reached him later, he told me the PIN code had been emailed to me. But when he showed me the email, I was shocked – it had been sent to an entirely wrong address that wasn’t mine at all. And the worst part? He didn’t care. No apology, no urgency, no attempt to make it right. Just indifference. Meanwhile, the only thing they seemed concerned about was the €400 deposit they demanded through WhatsApp, which was never mentioned during booking. Totally unprofessional. On top of that, they sprung an additional “city tax” charge on us without warning. Both were complete surprises, and frankly felt like a scam. Once we finally got into the chalet, it was boiling hot inside. No air conditioning, no fan, nothing. For a property charging premium prices in the summer, this is completely unacceptable. As if that wasn’t enough, the place was full of insects and spiders, which is a serious issue for me due to allergies. The house was only moderately clean and clearly not treated for pests. Oh, and the cherry on top? The SUMMERCARD – the one they proudly advertise right in the listing title – was nowhere to be found. Not in the house, not sent later, not mentioned. Just more false advertising. Reaching out for help again resulted in total silence from both We Rent and Booking.com. Final thoughts: • Locked out at 1 AM with no access support • PIN code sent to the wrong email, and they just didn’t care • Hidden €400 deposit and surprise city tax • No air conditioning, unbearably hot • Insects/spiders inside despite allergy concerns • No Summer Card, despite being advertised • Zero customer service, no follow-up, no accountability This was a nightmare. “We Rent” is incompetent, careless, and dishonest. I strongly advise the homeowner to cut ties with this company immediately. They’re damaging the property’s reputation and wasting people’s time and money. I’ll never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Ett mycket välanpassat och trevligt inrett hus för 4 vuxna och 2 barn att bo i. Vi njöt av utsikten och den underbara tystnaden. 5-10 minuters promenad till centrum utgjorde inga problem. Ett par saker hade missats som vi påtalade för värden som utan dröjsmål åtgärdade dessa vilket uppskattades av oss. Fel kan alla göra men att fixa dem snabbt är inte självklart. Så vi kan inte annat än att rekommendera boendet!
